Overview
The VR Platform for Uji SIM was developed for a realistic driving test experience. It involved documenting test scenarios, designing a 3D VR environment, building a prototype with user controls and scoring, conducting user testing, and optimizing based on feedback. This ensures an effective and immersive simulation.
User Flow
The VR Uji SIM user flow begins with users entering the VR environment and receiving test instructions. They then select a vehicle before starting the driving test, where they navigate through a simulated road while following traffic rules. Throughout the test, the system monitors performance, tracking errors and driving behavior. After completion, users receive a score and feedback on their mistakes and areas for improvement. Finally, they can either retry the test or exit the simulation, ensuring a structured and effective learning experience.
Prototyping & Testing :
The prototyping and testing phase refined the VR Uji SIM for accuracy and usability. A functional prototype with realistic scenarios and interactive controls was tested by users. Usability testing assessed navigation and responsiveness, while performance tracking measured rule adherence. Feedback-driven improvements enhanced realism, controls, and scoring, ensuring an immersive and effective driving test experience.
Results/Conclusion :
The VR Uji SIM successfully enhances the driving test experience with realistic scenarios, smooth navigation, and accurate performance tracking. Usability testing confirmed responsive controls and high rule adherence, while user feedback led to refinements in environment realism and scoring. This iterative development ensures an immersive, effective, and user-friendly simulation, with potential for further optimization and real-world adaptability.
